Upperclassman Scholarships

The application for upperclassman scholarships during the 2022-2023 academic year will be available online November 1, 2020. The application will close January 25, 2022.

Students applying for financial need scholarships must complete their 2021-2022 FAFSA by the priority deadline February 1, 2022.

Asbill Real Estate Scholarship Fund

Declared Commercial Real Estate Finance major or Real Estate minor. Must be an active member of the Real Estate Club

Albert Sottile Memorial Scholarship

Declared School of Business major. Must be a South Carolina resident. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must file FAFSA for the award year. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met.

Boeing Scholarship 

Declared School of Business major. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in aerospace industry, specifically with Boeing. Demonstrated excellence in leadership and communication. Additional consideration given to students with backgrounds that are typically underrepresented in the aerospace industry. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.

Catherine Lense Buchanan Accounting Scholarship   

Rising sophomore, junior or senior declared Accounting major. 

Charles & Mary Pratt Edmondston Scholarship   

Rising junior, declared School of Business major. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6. Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.

Charleston Restaurant Association Scholarship  

HTMT major/minor; preference to students presently working in the food & beverage industry who plan to remain in the field after graduation.

Charleston Wine + Food Festival Senior Scholarship 

Rising sophomore, junior or senior. Declared hospitality and tourism management major, minor or concentration. Demonstrated event/industry-relevant involvement or intent. Applicant must provide an industry-relevant cover letter with online application. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Strongly preferred that candidate demonstrates intend to work with Department faculty and Festival staff to seek an internship or similar professional exposure. Candidates who indicate that they have completed an internship with the Festival while attending the College will also receive preferential consideration.

Chick-Fil-A Scholarship 

Student in the Professional Studies Program that has a 3.0 or higher GPA and has financial need. Preference given to juniors or seniors and those in Management and Organizational Development concentration or a Hospitality Operations Management concentration.

 

Hale-Westbury Scholarship

Declared School of Business major. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must file FAFSA for the award year. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met.

Helms Scholars Fund

Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior majoring in Commercial Real Estate Finance or minoring in Real Estate

IANA Excellence Scholarship

Rising junior or senior. Declared global logistics and transportation (GLAT) minor. Demonstrated career interest in the areas of intermodal transportation, logistics, and/or supply chain. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.  

Independent Insurance Agents of SC Scholarship 

Rising sophomore, junior or senior declared School of Business major. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the property and casualty insurance industry agency system. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Jack Maybank Maritime Scholarship of Coastal Community Foundation

Rising senior declared School of Business major. Enrollment in the Global Logistics Systems Management course (TRAN 432) during spring semester of the award year. Scholarship must be used in conjunction with the Rotterdam Travel Study Program. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Must file FAFSA for the award year. 

Kiawah Island Golf Resort Scholarship 

Rising sophomore, junior or senior. Declared hospitality and tourism management major, minor or concentration. Demonstrated resort/industry-relevant involvement or intent. Applicant must provide an industry-relevant cover letter with online application. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate financial need (however, committee can award the scholarship to a student who does not demonstrate need).

Maclean "Ready to Work" Business Scholarship  

Rising sophomore, declared School of Business major. Applicant must demonstrate plans to become engaged with School of Business programs and career enhancement. South Carolina resident. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met.

Mercedes-Benz Vans Scholarship  

Rising junior or senior. Declared finance, global logistics & transportation, and/or supply chain management major, minor or concentration. Intent to pursue a professional role in supply chain management or finance upon graduation. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.

Patrick E. Ringwald Scholarship 

Rising sophomore, junior or senior. Declared hospitality and tourism management major, minor or concentration. Demonstrated restaurant/industry-relevant involvement or intent. Applicant must provide an industry-relevant cover letter with online application. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate financial need (however committee can award the scholarship to a student who does not demonstrate need).

 

Rebecca C. Herring Accounting Scholarship

Open to rising senior accounting majors or senior students planning to study in the College of Charleston Master of Science in Accountancy program. Selection is made by the Department of Accounting. Please contact Dr. Daniels for more information on the selection process.

Robert McCormick Figg Americanism Scholarship 

Rising sophomore, junior or senior declared GLAT minor or concentration. Demonstrated interest in studying the SC Ports Authority. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

South Carolina Stevedores Association Scholarship 

Rising junior, declared School of Business major. Demonstrated interest in a career in the area of intermodal transportation or international business. Must be a South Carolina resident. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.

Steadman Scholarship 

Rising senior, declared School of Business major. Must have completed, or be currently enrolled in at least one Insurance Coursework (FIN 385 or FIN 386). Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the property and casualty insurance industry. Intent to seek employment in the Charleston area upon graduation. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Sue Sommer-Kresse Annual Scholarship

The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to students pursuing a bachelors degree in professional studies; recipients must have demonstrated financial need.

Wells Fargo Business Scholarship 

Declared School of Business major. Demonstrated plans to pursue finance-oriented employment following graduation. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate financial need (however committee can award the scholarship to a student who does not demonstrate need). Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met.

Wild Dunes Resort Hospitality Management Scholarship  

Rising sophomore, junior or senior. Declared hospitality and tourism management major, minor or concentration. Demonstrated interest in working in the hospitality industry as evidenced by their employment/internship experiences and plans after graduation. Applicant must provide an industry-relevant cover letter with online application. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate financial need (however committee can award the scholarship to a student who does not demonstrate need).
