Global Trade Research
The Global Business Resource Center promotes increased global trade and new opportunities for South Carolina through trade research for businesses. Under the supervision of Dr. Rene Mueller, a team of interns takes on market research projects to support increased export growth, locating business opportunities, and clarifying international import requirements. Beginning in 2014, the Global Business Resource Center will support the World Trade Center Charleston and the Brookings Institute Metro Export Initiative with international market research for local businesses exporting goods and services. This semester long project will produce an in-depth market analysis for clients including industry analysis, customer comparison, and suggestions for entering new markets created by interns under supervision of an International Business professor.
