A U.S. Department of Education Title VIB grant enables the Global Business Resource Center in the School of Business to be the first test site in the Carolinas and to offer test preparation training courses.  The NASBITE CGBP, a vital addition to global trade education, is the first nationally-accepted, international trade credentialing program.

With support from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Education, NASBITE International developed the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credentialing program. The CGBP credential sets the benchmark for global trade knowledge, and CGBP certification shows that an individual has the knowledge required to be a successful global commerce professional.

College of Charleston is one of few Nasbite CGBP accredited training programs available and has the largest number of CGBP-certified faculty members and trainers in a U.S. setting. The day intensive session, offered through the Global Business Resource Center, covers the four core knowledge areas tested in the national exam:

• Global Business Management
• Global Marketing
• Global Supply Chain Management
• International Trade Finance

• Get preparation materials.
• You will have the option of taking a basic knowledge test (not a substitute or an equivalence for the CGBP exam) at the end of the training day.

The next training session will be offered February 4th, 2022 at the College of Charleston (7:30am-6pm with lunch box provided). The cost of the program including a certificate of attendance and/or knowledge is only $249 per person (CofC Partner organizations get a $50 discount: CWIT, SCWTC, Chamber, and Propeller Club members).
