Brittany is the current Director of the College of Charleston’s Information Technology (IT) Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and an adjunct faculty member in the School of Business Supply Chain Information Management (SCIM) department.
Brittany’s passion is in strategizing and implementing a structure to reduce chaos and increase efficiency. This passion is rooted in her previous experience restructuring departments, building programs, and streamlining processes to align more closely with business objectives. Prior to coming to the College of Charleston, Brittany led various efforts and teams across the healthcare industry in some of the most complex and challenging business environments. Most notably are the following:
- Served as the Vice President of Member Services for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Charleston Chapter.
- Managed the Medical University of South Carolina’s (MUSC) IT Facility Expansion and Growth portfolio. To include the opening of the following facilities:
- Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women’s Pavilion.
- Epic Center [Citadel Mall].
- Children’s R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion.
- Architected and implemented custom Electronic Health Record (EHR) and security solutions. Notable hospitals she provided these services for include, but are not limited to: Kaiser Permanente, Dubai Health Authority, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, and Virginia Hospital Center.
- Directed certification management and used Lean methodology to standardize customer service and incident management workflows across its 23 departments resulting in new processes, procedures, and policies.
