Dr. Tom Kent is an international consultant, teacher, author and researcher in the areas of leadership, teams, and organizational productivity.  His research in the area of Transformational Leadership where he along with his colleagues have pioneered the development of the "Kent Scale" over a period of several years.  These studies led to the discovery of five behavioral characteristics of effective leaders.  Since inception, the Kent Scale has been utilized in various countries world-wide.

Dr. Kent has an extensive business career background.  He has served at the management and executive levels of two global corporations and has owned his own mid-sized consulting firm that consulted internationally on the subject of organizational excellence and productivity.  As of January 2017, Dr. Kent has retired from teaching; however, he continues on with our department as a mentor in Management.
