Lancie Affonso has a joint instructing appointment in the Department of Management and Marketing as well as Computer Science since 2014. Professor Affonso has been teaching and mentoring at the College of Charleston since 2001 and currently serves as a Faculty Fellow in the Honors College for the Entrepreneurship Living Leaning Community (eLLC.) He is a Certified Entrepreneurship Teacher (CET) and has taught the YesCarolina Entrepreneurship Biz Camps for middle and high school students on the College's Main Campus. Lancie completed his IMBA (MIBS) at the University of South Carolina and graduated from the Honors Program at the College of Charleston with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Computer and Information Sciences with a specialization in Software Engineering.
He has served as the Director of Information Technology Fluency at the College and currently teaches courses in Management, Entrepreneurship, Decision Sciences, and Computer Science. Lancie is an enterprise technology consultant and his current research interests include Marketing and Predictive Analytics as well as emerging Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies including Customer Relationship Management (CRM). He is also interested in student engagement factors in online learning and online business simulations.
