Jeremy Clement is an Instructor & Internship Coordinator at the College of Charleston School of Business, in the Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management. He joined the department in 2014, and in 2017, he was named Director of the Schottland Scholars Program, a leadership development program for exceptional business school students. Mr. Clement earned his B.S. from the College of Charleston School of Business and his MBA from The Citadel Graduate College. He has years of industry experience in hotel and restaurant operations, finance, and strategic planning.
Mr. Clements’ focus for the department is on internship advising, industry relations, and career placement. Additionally, he teaches courses in event and project management; and his research interests are in career and workforce development, organizational best practices, and workplace development. Mr. Clement serves as Co-Director of the Meeting & Convention Management spring break travel program to Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada as well as the Destination Iceland Maymester travel program. Mr. Clement is a travel enthusiast and has also taught a past study abroad program in Dublin, Ireland. Recent developments in his event practicum curriculum include the development and production of a ‘flipped’ Hospitality Career Fair and leading students in volunteering at the Cork Midsummer Festival in Cork, Ireland.
