Meeting Space Reservations

Our simple reservation procedure allows you to host monthly meetings, guest speakers, conferences and more!

START BY:

Request Classroom Space via Registrar's Office

Due to extremely limited meeting spaces in the Beatty and Tate Centers, all SB Student Organizations should first request classroom meeting space from the registrar's office for regularly occuring meetings.

Request Meeting Space in Beatty and Tate Centers

School of Business Club Leaders are eligible to submit meeting space requests. Rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis. Your request does not guarantee room availability. Pending availability, your request will be confirmed via Outlook calendaring. At this time, we are NOT able to process requests for student groups not associated with the School of Business. Room requests from outside groups should be routed through the registrar's office (see linked form above).

Rules for Use

1. Reservation Holder is responsible for setup of the space to include: furniture arrangement, turning on & testing of technology equipment. Should you require time for setup before your meeting, please be sure to request an earlier start time to accommodate for this setup.

2. Group must have a representative faculty or staff member from the College of Charleston present during the meeting time requested.

3. Reservation Holder will make all arrangements for audio/visual needs. Note, if you experience technical issues with AV equipment, call the Helpdesk at 953-3375 or email helpdesk@cofc.edu

4. Reservation Holder will make all arrangements for catering. Aramark is exclusively contracted for campus catering needs. The Catering Sales Coordinator, Michelle Julien, may be reached at (843) 953-5669 or via email at julienmd@cofc.edu. All catering breakdown & cleanup must occur within the time constraints designated in your reservation. It the responsibility of the reservation holder to ensure that ARAMARK clears the room within the time allotted for the reservation.

5. Reservation Holder will arrange for access to the reserved room. Staff in the Dean’s Office will unlock reserved spaces during regular business hours from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. After hours access may be obtained by emailing Public Safety at dooropeningrequests@cofc.edu. Please contact Public Safety at least seven days in advance of the event with the following details: the name of the campus organization & contact submitting the request, event title, time the door(s) should be unlocked, and the time the event will conclude.

6. Reservation Holder will ensure furniture is returned to its proper arrangement and that all projectors, computers, lights, etc. are turned OFF. Please also raise the projector screen if applicable.

7. Reservation Holder will place all trash in the appropriate receptacles. Housekeeping will ensure that the trash is emptied in a timely manner, but they are not responsible for cleaning up after events.

8. Reservation Holder will wipe down all tables or surfaces as necessary. Housekeeping is not responsible for this maintenance. It is the responsibility of the reservation holder.

9. Reservation Holder will erase all whiteboards, if applicable.
