School of Business Upperclassmen Scholarships

The online application link for scholarship opportunities during the 2014-2015 academic year has closed. All scholarship applications for upperclassmen were due by MIDNIGHT February 1, 2014.

The online application link for scholarship opportunities during the 2015-2016 academic year will be available here on December 1, 2014. All scholarship applications for 2015-2016 upplerclassmen scholarships are due by MIDNIGHT February 1, 2015.

Albert Sottile Memorial Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Student must be a South Carolina resident. Demonstration of financial need. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to three years, if terms are met.

Boeing Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-declared or declared School of Business Major. Demonstrated excellence in leadership and communication. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in aerospace industry. Scholars will be encouraged to pursue internships in the aerospace industry, specifically with Boeing. Additional consideration will be given to students with backgrounds that are typically underrepresented in the aerospace industry. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.

Barkley Family Travel Scholarship (Honors Program Only) 

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible students can obtain scholarship criteria and apply for funding directly through Dr. Jane Clary: claryj@cofc.edu

Charles & Mary Pratt Edmondston Scholarship   

ELIGIBILITY
Rising junior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met. 

Hale-Westbury Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Demonstration of financial need. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to three years, if terms are met.

Independent Insurance Agents of SC Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Rising sophomore, junior or senior with a pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the property and casualty insurance industry agency system.

Jack Maybank Maritime Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY
Rising senior, declared School of Business major. Enrollment in the Global Logistics Systems Management course (TRAN 432) during spring semester of the award year. Scholarship must be used toward the Rotterdam Travel Study Program. Demonstration of financial need. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. 

Knox Global Scholarship  

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-declared or declared School of Business major.  Preference given to applicants studying abroad with a CofC sponsored overseas program. At least 30 earned hours at time of study abroad. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Knox Global Financial Need Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-declared or declared School of  Business major. Preference given to applicants studying abroad with a CofC sponsored overseas program. At least 30 earned hours at time of study abroad. Must file FAFSA for the award year. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.          

Maclean Business Scholarship  

ELIGIBILITY
Rising sophomore, junior or senior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.

Mattox Family Scholarship  

ELIGIBILITY
Rising sophomore, or junior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Demonstrated plans to incorporate global study (ie: international internships, study abroad, service learning trip, etc.) into candidate’s academic experience at the School of Business. Must file FAFSA for the award year. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.  Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.

Robert McCormick Figg Americanism Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Rising senior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major and a Global Logistics concentration/minor.  Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Rebecca C. Herring Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY   
Declared or pre-declared accounting major who has completed at least 9 credits in ACCT (minimum of 6 credits earned at CofC) and 54 hours overall at time of application. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Sharon and William Asbill Scholarship  

ELIGIBILITY
Rising junior or senior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major. Completed coursework in Real Estate and demonstrated interest in a career in Real Estate. Demonstration of leadership and financial need. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to one year, if terms are met.   

South Carolina Stevedores Association Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Rising junior, pre-declared or declared School of Business major with a Global Logistics concentration/minor or an International Business major with a foreign language minor. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicant must be a South Carolina resident. Renewable up to two years, if terms are met.

Steadman Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Rising senior, declared School of Business major. Must have completed, or be currently enrolled in FIN 385 or FIN 386. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the property and casualty insurance industry. Demonstrated interest in starting and evolving a career in the Charleston region. Scholars will be encouraged to work with the donor to pursue an insurance related internship during at least one semester of their senior year. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Wells Fargo Business Scholarship 

ELIGIBILITY
Declared or pre-declared School of Business major. Demonstrated plans to pursue finance-oriented employment following graduation from the CofC. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate financial need (however committee can award the scholarship to a student who does not demonstrate need). Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable up to three years, if terms are met.
