William Jana

Corporate Consultant Michelin North America

William JanaWilliam A. Jana has extensive, multi-faceted professional experience in transportation, international logistics, and information services for US, Canada and Mexico with extensive background in business transformation for Michelin. 

Currently, he serves as a corporate consultant for Michelin North America where he is a strategic designer for complex, transformational change in the organization and with external partners including process redesign, cost reduction initiatives, and resource development.  In addition, he is the key account manager for Michelin's largest product line and subsidiary – Tire Centers Incorporated.

Jana has held other key international positions with the company including international logistics department manager, international export manager and information services manager in Mexico.

Jana is the recipient of numerous leadership awards including his latest Bib Excellence Awards for implementing a US Customs Import Security Filing mandate and leading the US Foreign Trade Zones Project.

Prior to Michelin, he worked for United Health Care as a team leader and senior software engineer serving corporate clients such as GE, Pepsico, Dow Chemical, TBS and others.  He was also a systems supervisor and business analyst for Metlife.

In 2000, he graduated from the University of Southern California Berkley with a CIO Strategic Management Information Technology advanced professional development degree.  He also earned an associate's degree in computer science from Greenville Technical College and a bachelor's degree in pastoral studies from Bob Jones University.  He is fluent in English and Spanish and has some French language skills.

He is a member of the South Carolina Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the South Carolina International Trade companies.  He has participated in several professional symposiums including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 2010: Future Transportation Impact..

Community service is important to Jana who works regularly on Habitat for Humanity projects.  He also supports St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the United Way and the American Cancer Society.
