Marcia S. Snyder

Marcia Snyder was named the assistant dean of student learning and accreditation for School of Business in July 2011.  Snyder is responsible for continuous improvement and accreditation standards with specific focus on student achievement.  She leads the Student Success Center and helps drive new processes and standards for student learning and achievement. 

She received a B.S. in economics from the College of Charleston and earned a M.S. in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University of London. Marcia has taught more than 3,200 students as an instructor for the Department of Economics and Finance during the past 10 years. While working for the Tate Center, she was instrumental in improving and expanding the scope of the South Carolina Economic Developers' School (SCEDs) and began development of the Advanced SCEDs program with the South Carolina Department of Commerce. She has additional experience as a research associate in the Office of Economic Analysis within the School of Business and as a corporate manager with BP.
