Directions and Parking

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The College of Charleston is located in downtown Charleston, SC. Follow these simple directions to find your way to the heart of campus.  Go to the campus map for specific parking garages and building locations. 

From I26 - From I26, take a right at the Meeting St. exit. Follow Meeting St. several blocks to Calhoun St. Take a right onto Calhoun St. Follow for two blocks to St. Philip Street. For ease, we suggest parking in one of the City of Charleston parking garages. The first of which is located near the corner of St. Philip St. and Vanderhorst St. To access this garage, turn right onto St. Philip St. The other option is the garage on the corner of St. Philip St. and Wentworth St. To access this garage, make a left onto St. Philip St.

From HWY 17N - From HWY 17, take the Lockwood Dr. south (right) exit. From Lockwood Dr., turn left onto Calhoun St. Follow Calhoun St. several blocks to St. Philip St. For ease, we suggest parking in one of the City of Charleston parking garages. The first of which is located near the corner of St. Philip St. and Vanderhorst St. To access this garage, take a left onto St. Philip St. The next option is on the corner of St. Philip and Wentworth St. To access this garage, take a right onto St. Philip St.).

From HWY 17S - Follow HWY 17 over the Ravenel Bridge. From the bridge, exit on Meeting St. Turn left onto Meeting Street. Follow Meeting St. several blocks to Calhoun St. Take a right at Calhoun St. Follow for two blocks to St. Philip Street. For ease, we suggest parking in one of the City of Charleston parking garages. The first of which is located near the corner of St. Philip St. and Vanderhorst St. To access this garage, turn right onto St. Philip St. The other option is the garage on the corner of St. Philip St. and Wentworth St. To access this garage, make a left onto St. Philip St.

From Airport - Take I-26 exit. Follow 26 until it turns into HWY 17. From HWY 17, take the Meeting St. exit. Follow Meeting St. several blocks to Calhoun St. Take a right onto Calhoun St. Follow for two blocks to St. Philip Street. For ease, we suggest parking in one of the City of Charleston parking garages. The first of which is located near the corner of St. Philip St. and Vanderhorst St. To access this garage, turn right onto St. Philip St. The other option is the garage on the corner of St. Philip St. and Wentworth St. To access this garage, make a left onto St. Philip St.

PARKING
Due to the limited number of parking spaces available on the College of Charleston campus, all guests are directed to park in a parking garage or parking meter.

Three garages located close to campus are:
1. College garage at 81 St. Philip Street (next to the Bell Building)
2. Wentworth Street Garage, located at the intersection of Wentworth and St. Philip Streets
3. Francis Marion Garage on King Street next to the Westin Francis Marion Hotel. The cost of parking in these garages is $1.50 for the first hour, and $1 for each additional hour, with a daily maximum of $10 per day.
