We all know that time passes quickly. It feels especially true to me since I became Dean of the School of Business on March 15, 2009. In a little over three years, I'm proud to say that we've made some dramatic changes, many of which were made possible by the support of our donors.
Your generosity enables and inspires the School of Business to move forward towards our 2020 Vision for students to thrive in our distinct programs and flourish into global business leaders.
I am extremely proud to launch our first Donor Report to celebrate over 160 individuals, corporations, and foundations that have declared their impact on the School of Business by making a gift in 2011. With the Board of Governors leading the way, our alumni, friends, faculty and community partners pledged and contributed $1,355,674 to advance our students, and faculty.
More importantly, our students are experiencing the impact of our donors' generosity as you will read in the impact spotlight stories. Please take the opportunity to browse through our 2011 donors list and read the highlights of just a few of the specific successes from last year.
We have much to be proud of as we begin our 2012-2013 academic year. With your continued support and trust, the future of the School of Business looks brighter than ever.
Sincerely grateful,Alan T. Shao
