Congratulations to the 2018-2019 class of Market Process Scholars!

Rachel Bradley

Rachel Bradley is a Senior in the Honors College from Columbia, South Carolina. She is double majoring in International Studies and Economics and pursuing fluency in Arabic. She served as a Freshman Senator with the CofC Student Government Association and enjoys volunteering with the organization Loving America Street. In the future, Rachel hopes to attend graduate school for economics and pursue a career in international diplomacy.

Patrick Crotty is a Junior in the Honors College from Summerville, SC. He is pursuing degrees in Economics and Political Science.  He is a member of the Dean’s Student Forum Consulting Group, the Honor Board, and the CisternYard Media team.  In addition, Patrick is part of the College of Charleston Model United Nations Club and has experience representing China and the United Arab Emirates in economic committees.  Patrick has also won first place and received a departmental award for achievements in Mandarin Chinese and traveled to Cambodia and Vietnam to study the effects of international aid and political instability.

Taralyn Goodson

Taralyn Goodson is a junior from Summerville, South Carolina. She pursuing a degree in Accounting. She is interested in developmental economics and finance. Taralyn also works as an Accounting Tutor with the Center for Student Learning. She plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in public accounting.

Amelia Janaskie is a Junior in the Honors College from Connecticut. She is pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in English. Additionally, she works as a Writing Lab Consultant and serves as the Co-President of the Honors Student Association. She is interested in better understanding public taxation and firm management through economic theory.

Stephanie Laudien

Stephanie Laudien is a junior student-athlete at the College of Charleston majoring in Economics and minoring in Data Science. Her interests lie in behavioral economics and environmental economics. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, surfing, and practicing yoga. 

Will McEwen is a College of Charleston Honors College Junior from Chattanooga, Tennessee. His interests lie in financial markets and social entrepreneurship, and he is pursuing a degree in Economics. Will was a member of the Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Community, a cohort that aims to put the entrepreneurial mindset into practice through high-impact and experiential learning.

Eliza Quillen

Eliza Quillen is a Junior in the Honors College from Sarasota, Florida. She is pursuing a degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics. Her interests lie in entrepreneurship, international business, fashion, and art.  She studied abroad in Spain with an interdisciplinary Business and Hispanic Studies program, in which she developed cultural awareness, international business acumen, language skills, and global citizenship. Outside of class, Eliza is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, and she enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures.

Stephanie Tanzi is a College of Charleston Honors College Junior from Chevy Chase, Maryland. With interests in impact entrepreneurship and cultural economics, she is pursuing a double degree in Art’s Management and Marketing. Stephanie graduated from the Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community, a cohort focused on teaching students an entrepreneurial mindset through experiential learning. Currently, Stephanie is the social media executive of the Honors Student Association and is a marketing intern for Engaging Creative Minds.

Maria Urbina Salgado

Maria Urbina Salgado is originally from Nicaragua, Central America. She is a junior majoring in Accounting with a minor in Economics and has a diverse cluster of intellectual interests including finance, international studies, and logistics. Maria is an active member of the Microfinance Club, Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gama Sigma honor societies, and treasurer of the Supply Chain and Management Club. She plans to attend graduate school and then pursue a public accounting career.
