George G. Spaulding Distinguished Executive Speaker Series

The George G. Spaulding Distinguished Executive Speaker Series was established in 1995 by the late George Spaulding, former General Motors executive, Post & Courier columnist, and first Executive-in-Residence for the School of Business. As part of the speaker series, Spaulding brought top corporate CEOs and executives to share their professional success stories and case histories with business students. The George Spaulding Distinguished Executive Speaker Series roster has included executives from NBC, General Motors, Proctor & Gamble, S.C. elected officials, military leaders, Avon, Vera Bradley, Trader Joes, and others [view full list of past speakers]. Sergio Fernandez de Cordova, PVBLIC Foundation chairman and co-founder has been selected as the spring 2018 distinguished executive speaker. De Cordova will speak to CofC students, alumni and faculty as well as members of the community on Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Auditorium. An internationally renowned entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, he will discuss the intersection between social impact and financial prosperity, highlighting successful business models that align with the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations in his talk, “Sustainable Development Goals: Is there a business model that works?” Secure your spot here!
