About Us

The Beatty Center

Our undergraduate and graduate programs support our school's mission and prepare socially responsible students for careers in a wide array of fields. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, our programs cover the essential business disciplines while teaching students the local, national and international implications of operating a business in the global arena.

The School of Business enjoys the advantages of the beautiful College of Charleston campus community, steeped in history and tradition, while offering students insight into the dynamic, global business environment.

Entering into the Beatty Center, home of the school, is like walking into a modern corporate atrium. It feels like a place of work for business students who welcome the challenge.

Each "smart" classroom in the Beatty Center is fully equipped with technology stations and instructor tools to enhance the learning experience. Classes are small, and professors know their students on a first-name basis. As the school continues investing in its facilities and capabilities, students will apply the latest technology in new ways to be better thinkers and problem solvers. Professors will use the tools to adapt their teaching methods in the classroom and in distant learning contexts.

Students in the Honors College who wish to pursue a business major can apply to our Honors Program in the School of Business.

Many of our students spend time studying abroad in countries and regions across the globe, including Italy, Spain, Australia, China, United Arab Emirates and Mexico.

In addition, exchange students from European, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern countries attend classes here.
